This tableware series represents our shop Sono in Nagoya, Japan. Named after an Italian word, Sorgente meaning fountainhead or spring water. It is made of black earthenware and applied with a white glaze. It results in the atmospheric gradations of grayish white color and the black base clay is seen through the uneven or decorative parts. The cup is accentuated by the elegantly plump belt-like decoration around the mouth and a wider and smooth handle, while the saucer has a decorative encircling line and a cup rest. Enjoy your coffee or tea with this vintage-inspired, elegant cup and saucer set.
