Haiyuseji

These plates have been handcrafted using a potter’s wheel. By applying “Seji” glaze to the circling streaks (eddy-like patterns) produced by manual throwing, the blue will be “translucent” blue. “Seji” (celadon) looks subdued on an empty plate, but once you dish up food, it will highlight the colors of the ingredients such as red of meat and vivid colors of vegetables.
