The "Choseki kohiki" bowl features such a rustic feel of rough earthenware containing iron in powder and light pink marks. It is made with the traditional Japanese "kohiki" technique, where base earthen clay is covered with a layer of white-powder clay before the application of the "soft white colored" feldspathic glaze (Choseki-glaze in Japanese). It results in "soft and plump" white and "atmospheric" unevenness or flows of the glaze or the slip. You may feel like supporting this bowl with your both hands because of the very round form. This bowl might look as if it was covering food so gently.
