Don't you think that "Swell" Plate looks like widening rings left on the water when you throw a stone or something into it.? The ripply/translucent gloss, which casts beautiful shadows over the surface, will evoke the uniformity of nature in the form of minimal art, as it were. The hollowed section may be used to add something with improvisation as well as just put food dishes: you could pour sauce into it, put a small piece of tableware items.
