The "Tela" plate, which means a canvas for oil painting in Italian, is meant to present food like a work of art in a flat square plate. It can be used for a wide range of cuisine styles. Available in two colors. [White]: black earthen clay is covered with a layer of white-powder clay, called the Japanese "kohiki" technique, before the application of a milky white glaze; it results in the atmospheric gradations of grayish white and plumpy nuance. [Black] is made of black pottery and applied with a rainbow color glaze containing a lot of iron; it makes a beautiful contrast between the dull black clay and the color-changing shiny glaze. Arrange dishes beautifully or even artistically by leaving wide margins and let the natural materials of the plate shine.
