Lengua is indispensable when eating Japanese, Chinese, and ethnic food. We have planned a slightly Asian-style ceramic spoon, Bouroue, for daily use. The size is rather small, but it can be used for soup, fried rice, and other rice dishes, as well as for eating desserts. The standard white color has a smooth, glossy glaze, while the other colors have a smooth, matte texture. All of them, depending on the shade of the glaze and the firing condition in the kiln, show uneven colors and a burnt look, which is unique to red clay. Unlike metal or wooden cutlery, these ceramic spoons have an appealing rustic flavor.
