Introduction of [Komasuji Hyotan] series

Description

[Enjoy Sipping Sake, Using "Bottle Gourd Shaped" Bottle and Cup] We incorporated traditional and popular sake bottles and cups into the new international trend of Japanese sake hoping that you will enjoy drinking sake a lot more during meals and at dinner time. That is the "Komasuji Hyotan" Bottle and Cup series. The shape represents a bottle gourd, which is known as a traditional design. It looks adorable or funny somehow; you could describe it by using various adjectives. Cup looks like a reversed calyx of a bottle gourd. It appears that the blue or red lines hand painted by an artisan have shades of color, which will probably make you feel artisan's subtleness in every single painting process. Since early times in Japan, sake bottles and sake cups have been used on various seasonal or special occasions such as wedding ceremonies and Shinto rituals, and those important utensils have been nurtured as Japanese culture as well as tableware items for drinking sake. We incorporated those traditional and popular items into the new international trend of Japanese sake hoping that you will enjoy drinking sake a lot more during meals and at dinner time. That is the theme of the "Komasuji Hyotan" Bottle and Cup series. Cup looks like a reversed calyx of a bottle gourd. The foot is high and small in diameter, which gives a bit of tenseness to the form. You could also enjoy the very first sake pouring sound like "glug-glug" while using "Komasuji Hyotan" Bottle and Cup. It appears that the blue or red lines hand painted by an artisan have shades of color, which will probably make you feel artisan's subtlties in every single painting process.
